Celebrating the Spirit of Rabindranath at TIGPS Baruipur

“Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time like dew on the tip of a leaf.” - Rabindranath Tagore

The campus of Techno India Group Public School Baruipur was filled with music, emotions, and the spirit of culture as students and teachers came together to celebrate Rabindra Jayanti with great warmth and enthusiasm. Through soulful songs, graceful dance performances, recitations, and creative presentations, the celebration paid a heartfelt tribute to the timeless legacy of Rabindranath Tagore. Dressed in beautiful traditional attire, the students brought alive the richness of Bengali culture, turning the occasion into a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone present.

Rabindra Jayanti is observed to honour the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore – one of India’s greatest literary icons and the first Asian Nobel Laureate. A poet, philosopher, composer, playwright, and educationist, Tagore reshaped Bengali literature and music with his extraordinary creativity and vision. His works continue to inspire generations with messages of humanity, freedom, nature, and universal harmony. Through institutions like Visva-Bharati and his literary contributions, Tagore left behind a legacy that transcends borders and time.

“Don’t limit a child to your own learning, for they were born in another time.” – Rabindranath Tagore

Some of Tagore’s most celebrated works include Gitanjali, Gora, Ghare Baire, and Chokher Bali. His words continue to resonate deeply across generations. One of his most cherished quotes, “Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high,” remains a symbol of hope and enlightenment. Another timeless thought by Tagore, “Faith is the bird that feels the light and sings when the dawn is still dark,” beautifully reflects optimism and inner strength.

The celebration at TIGPS Baruipur was more than just a cultural programme – it was a heartfelt tribute to the ideals and artistic brilliance of Rabindranath Tagore. Through every performance and expression, students not only honoured the legendary poet but also embraced the values of creativity, compassion, and cultural pride that he stood for. The event concluded on a joyous note, leaving everyone inspired by the enduring legacy of the Bard of Bengal.
