ESEDS School of Design Students Bring National Recognition at SIDCA 2026

Creativity, dedication, and innovation once again took center stage as students from the ESEDS School of Design, a proud institute of Techno India University, brought pride and national recognition to their institution at the Society Interiors Design Competition Awards 2026 (SIDCA 2026). Known as one of India’s most prestigious national platforms celebrating creativity and excellence in design, SIDCA attracts talented participants from leading design institutes across the country.

This year, students from the Interior Design and Fashion Design Diploma programmes of ESEDS demonstrated exceptional talent and creativity across multiple categories, competing against some of the finest young designers in India. Their achievements not only highlighted their artistic abilities but also reflected their strong conceptual thinking, practical design skills, and commitment to pushing creative boundaries.

In the Residential Design Category, Interior Diploma students Aparupa Paul, Amit Das, Srija Ghosh, and Santa Mondal emerged as the Eastern Zone Winners of India. Their project impressed the jury with its thoughtful planning, innovative concept, and well-executed design strategy. Recognizing the strength of their work, the project also received a Special Appreciation Award at the All-India level, marking it as one of the standout submissions in the competition.

Another remarkable achievement came in the Commercial Design Category, where Interior Diploma students Ujjala Singh, Puja Chowdhury, Sabbir Chhutani, and Farhan Ahmed showcased their creative expertise. Their design project was praised for its innovative spatial planning and fresh design perspective, earning them the title of Eastern Zone Winners of India. The team went on to secure Second Place at the All-India level, an impressive accomplishment in a highly competitive national platform.

Adding to the celebration, students from the Fashion Diploma programme also made their mark at SIDCA 2026. Eemon Fariha, Bhaswata Nayek, Anjali Sharma, and Selma Debbarma achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming All-India Winners in the Visual Art Category. Their work stood out for its originality, artistic expression, and strong visual storytelling, capturing the attention and appreciation of the judges.
