X-LORE’26, the Literary Fest of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata, reaffirmed the evolving power of literature beyond the written word, with Prof. Manoshi RoyChowdhury, esteemed Co-Chairperson of Techno India Group, gracing the festival as Chief Guest. In a time shaped by speed and screens, the festival stood out as a thoughtful pause—where “literature today lives far beyond the page.”
The event was thoughtfully curated under the academic leadership of Dr. Prayag Ray and Dr. Anish Bhattacharyya, whose vision ensured that X-LORE’26 was not merely a literary gathering, but a living dialogue between tradition and contemporary thought. Their stewardship reflected a deep understanding that “education must nurture imagination, emotional intelligence, and purpose beyond classrooms.”
What stood out across the festival was not just the diversity of formats—blackout poetry, slam performances, filmmaking, and reinterpretations of legend—but the intent driving them. These expressions were fearless, reflective, and rooted in relevance. As observed during the performances, “heritage met fearless self-expression.” Literature here was not treated as nostalgia, but as a living force—one that engages with identity, mental well-being, social responsibility, and purpose.

This spirit aligns strongly with the educational philosophy long championed by Prof. Manoshi RoyChowdhury, who has consistently emphasized that true education extends beyond examinations and classrooms. “Education must empower young people to express themselves with confidence and conscience,” she often notes. It is this vision that resonates through every act of creativity at X-LORE’26.
X-LORE’26 also demonstrated how literature can act as a bridge—between personal reflection and collective healing, heritage and reinvention, creativity and community. The seamless integration of artistic expression with conversations around mental well-being underscored an essential truth: “learning is incomplete unless it speaks to both the mind and the heart.”
Congratulations to the Xavier’s University Literary Society for curating an intellectually bold and emotionally enriching festival. X-LORE’26 stood as proof that when “young voices are not just heard, but celebrated,” literature transforms into action—and education finds its deeper purpose.
For the Techno India Group, such platforms reaffirm our belief that future-ready education must empower students to think deeply, feel responsibly, and express fearlessly. X-LORE’26 illuminated exactly that path forward.
