Calcutta Hacks: TIU Comes Alive with 24 Hours of Innovation

At Techno India University, innovation is not just encouraged—it is lived. This spirit was vividly reflected during Calcutta Hacks, a 24-hour national-level hackathon hosted on 27 and 28 December 2025, which transformed the campus into a hub of creativity, collaboration, and relentless problem-solving.

Organized by Google Developer Groups On Campus, Techno India University in collaboration with Apex Circle, Calcutta Hacks brought together passionate student developers from 12 states and over 50 colleges across the country. With a prize pool exceeding USD 5,500, the event stood out as one of the most impactful student-driven technical initiatives hosted in Kolkata.

For 24 intense hours, our campus echoed with ideas being shaped into real-world solutions. Participants worked tirelessly—brainstorming, coding, debugging, and refining their projects—embodying the true essence of hands-on learning. The hackathon was not merely a competition; it was a celebration of innovation, teamwork, and the ever-growing technical ecosystem at Techno India University.
