The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Chaibasa Engineering College, part of Techno India Group, lit up with energy on 6th December 2025, as students gathered for one of the most anticipated technical battles of the year—CODE ARENA’25 (Phase-II). More than just a contest, the event became a living example of how student leadership, academic support, and competitive learning can transform a department’s culture.
What made this year truly special was its origin. Three final-year CSE students—Anil Mahato, Vishal Mahato, and Sonam Singh—were the brains behind the initiative, envisioning a platform that would help their juniors experience coding the way it happens in the placement world. Their mission was clear: prepare 3rd-year students for the real pressure, assessment style, and performance expectations of corporate technical rounds. And they succeeded, spectacularly.
The response spoke for itself. Nearly 75 third-year students stepped into the arena, ready to test their knowledge, logic, and composure. The competition unfolded through two rigorous stages—
- a Preliminary Round to filter the sharpest minds, and
- an intense Coding Round that pushed participants to manage time, think critically, and solve problems on the fly.
And then came the moment of victory. After a gripping showdown, CODE ARENA 2K25 crowned its champions—
- Winner: Anushruti Mahato
- 1st Runner-up: Om Sharma
- 2nd Runner-up: Kritika Kumari
Their performances were marked by clarity of thought, speed, and exceptional programming judgment—traits that indicate they are ready for bigger challenges ahead.

But great events are never solo attempts. The planning team’s idea flourished because of remarkable student support and departmental guidance.
The contribution of the 2nd-year volunteers deserves applause: Supriya Mahato, Prachi Kumari, Shreya Kumari, Payal Kumari, Ranjeet Pandit, Vivek Kumhar, Praveen Kumar Sahu, and Nischal Pandey—whose coordination ensured that every logistical demand was handled seamlessly.
A special acknowledgement goes to Prof. Arijit Dutta, Assistant Professor, CSE, whose guidance, planning insight, and continual supervision formed the backbone of the event. His mentorship reinforced what Techno believes in—events are classrooms too.
The Department also extended appreciation to the Head of the Department, the CSE faculty fraternity, and the Principal (I/C), whose encouragement ensured a confident finish.
Moments like these are more than trophies and certificates—they are confidence-builders, skill accelerators, and culture shapers. CODE ARENA 2K25 ignited the competitive spirit among young engineers, preparing them not just to code, but to perform with clarity under pressure—something the professional world demands relentlessly.
With initiatives like these, the CSE Department continues to nurture innovation, teamwork, and academic excellence—one coding arena at a time.
