Campus Jams #2: École Intuit Lab x TIU Ignite a New Wave of Creative Learning

Techno India University, along with its creative wing École Intuit Lab x Techno India University, hosted an electrifying second edition of Campus Jams, turning the campus into a vibrant hub of motion design, visual storytelling, and creative thinking. The full-day workshop featured two impactful sessions—one with Nilesh Chaturvedi, Visualizer at Finarb, and another with Debojyoti Sarkar, Creative Head at hoichoi—making it a day overflowing with inspiration and industry insight.

Session 1: Motion That Speaks — With Nilesh Chaturvedi (Finarb)

The morning began with an engaging, knowledge-rich session as Nilesh Chaturvedi dove deep into motion graphics, animation, and VFX essentials. His explanations were sharp and practical, giving students a real understanding of how motion builds stories.

A highlight of his session was the introduction to the “boba vs. kiki” effect, an exciting concept that links sounds to shapes. Students were amazed to discover how perception, psychology, and design are so closely connected.

Nilesh also urged students to rely on Pinterest over Google when seeking design references, as Pinterest provides fresh, curated inspiration instead of repetitive visuals.
His advice: If you want to create something original, start by exploring original spaces.

He spoke honestly about the industry, noting that only about 5% of designers in India are earning at the top level. The difference, he pointed out, lies in consistency, creativity, and a willingness to experiment.

Before wrapping up, he shared a mindset gem: “The best designers never say where they got the idea—they say, I created it. Believe in your craft.”
He also recommended Think & Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill as an essential read for anyone aiming to build a strong creative mindset.

Session 2: Behind the Screens of Streaming — With Debojyoti Sarkar (hoichoi)

Post-lunch, the energy shifted into high gear as Debojyoti Sarkar, Creative Head at hoichoi, delivered a gripping session on branding, storytelling, and content strategy in today’s OTT-driven world.

He gave students a behind-the-scenes look at how hoichoi creates compelling narratives, builds visual identity, and connects emotionally with audiences. From character cues to color palettes, from mood-setting frames to branding elements—his session unpacked the creative engine that drives one of Bengal’s leading streaming platforms.

What made the session truly unforgettable was Debojyoti’s lively interaction style. He broke down complex industry processes into simple, actionable insights that students could instantly relate to and apply.

Proof of Work — The Heart of Campus Jams

The core purpose of Campus Jams is simple yet powerful: Give students skills they can use immediately.

After the sessions, students were encouraged to create something based on what they learned—motion visuals, graphic experiments, or narrative designs—and share them on LinkedIn and across social platforms. This serves as proof of work, helping them build confidence, visibility, and a growing creative portfolio.

A Day That Sparked Creativity Across Campus

Campus Jams #2 proved to be more than a workshop—it became a spark that ignited fresh creativity across the campus. Students left feeling inspired, confident, and eager to push their ideas further with bold design thinking and deeper storytelling. The day reminded them that creativity thrives when curiosity meets real industry insight. With École Intuit Lab (TIU) shaping the creative direction of the university, Techno India University continues to nurture young visionaries, empowering them to learn, experiment, and bring powerful stories to life—one innovative idea at a time.
