Techno India University signs MoU with Queen’s University Belfast

In a landmark moment, Techno India University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Queen’s University Belfast, one of the UK’s oldest and most prestigious institutions. The agreement, formalized on November 6, 2025, marks a major step toward international collaboration in research, innovation, and education.

This partnership falls under India’s GIFT City initiative, a national project that connects top global universities with Indian institutions to create a new model for world-class learning and academic exchange. It also marks the first collaboration under the GIFT City framework, apart from IIT Gandhinagar.

Representing Techno India University at the event was Prof. Manoshi RoyChowdhury, Co-Chairperson of Techno India Group, whose vision and leadership have been instrumental in fostering global academic partnerships. Her presence underscored the university’s commitment to empowering students through international exposure and cross-cultural learning opportunities.

Beyond academics, this collaboration represents a meeting of hearts and heritage — a bond built on mutual trust, respect, and cultural understanding. It brings together India’s tradition of holistic learning and Queen’s University’s legacy of global excellence, creating a platform where students and scholars can learn, share, and grow together.

During the meeting, the Techno India University team presented a handwoven Shantiniketan uttoriyo and a copy of Rabindranath Tagore’s Gitanjali. These meaningful gifts reflected India’s spirit of humility, creativity, and cultural pride — a reminder that knowledge carries greater value when rooted in identity.

The partnership celebration took place at the residence of British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron CB OBE in New Delhi, symbolizing a bridge between tradition and technology, East and West. The event highlighted a shared commitment to advancing education through collaboration, innovation, and cultural exchange.

What made the moment truly special was that Lindy Cameron is herself an alumna of Queen’s University Belfast. Her presence added a personal layer of warmth and pride, turning a formal signing into a heartfelt celebration of connection. It felt less like the start of an agreement and more like the beginning of a shared journey — one that promises to bring together knowledge, culture, and global vision for years to come.
