Nitisabha 2025: A New Era of Diplomacy Begins at Techno India University

Techno India University, West Bengal, has opened a powerful new chapter of youth leadership and global dialogue with the successful launch of its first-ever Model United Nations and Youth Parliament Conference — Nitisabha 2025. Organized by Kautilya, the Official Model United Nations Society of the University, the three-day conference from 31st October to 2nd November 2025 marked a historic beginning for student-led policymaking and diplomatic engagement on campus.

The conference commenced with a spectacular inauguration ceremony, graced by distinguished chief guests whose inspiring messages fueled enthusiasm across the venue. The auditorium echoed with applause as Nitisabha 2025 was officially declared open — a moment that acknowledged months of hard work, dedication, and shared vision.

Delegates arrived in high spirits, armed with research, confidence and the determination to voice their ideas. For many, it was the moment they stepped into the shoes of global leaders for the very first time.

Nitisabha 2025 hosted six thoughtfully curated committees — UNHRC, DISEC, AIPPM, IPC, UNWOMEN, and HCEC — each tackling conversations that resonate deeply with the global and national landscape. While the UNHRC focused on safeguarding human dignity and fundamental rights, DISEC addressed pressing issues of international security and disarmament. AIPPM delved into the intricacies of Indian politics through informed debate, while IPC upheld journalism as the fourth pillar of democracy. UNWOMEN amplified discussions on empowerment, equality, and gender justice, and HCEC challenged delegates with crisis management rooted in historical contexts. Each of these committees was guided by an exceptional Executive Board — mentors well-versed in diplomacy and dialogue — who ensured that delegates engaged in meaningful discussion, negotiation, and resolution drafting.

One of the most inspiring highlights of Nitisabha 2025 was its diverse pool of participants. Delegates from reputed schools and prestigious colleges across Kolkata and beyond — including DPS Siliguri, DBS Siliguri, and TIGPS Konnagar — came together with a shared purpose: to think critically, speak boldly, and lead responsibly. Representing varied academic and cultural backgrounds, these young leaders embodied the true spirit of diplomacy, collaboration, and youth-driven change that Nitisabha stands for.

Every committee session buzzed with passionate arguments, diplomatic alliances, and policies rooted in research. It wasn’t simply debate — it was a learning experience shaping the changemakers of tomorrow.

This groundbreaking conference owes immense gratitude to Hon’ble Co-Chairperson Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury. Her unwavering support, guidance and faith in student potential turned this ambitious dream into reality.

Her presence and encouragement filled the organizing team with confidence — reminding everyone that true leadership is nurtured when opportunities are given to the youth. The core members of Kautilya too deserve praise for their remarkable planning, coordination and sleepless dedication that transformed ideas into an unforgettable experience.

With its remarkable first edition, Nitisabha 2025 has set a bold precedent. Techno India University now stands proudly among institutions nurturing young diplomats, journalists, policymakers and future global influencers. This is not just the beginning of a conference tradition — it is the beginning of a culture where student voices shape the future.

As Nitisabha continues to grow in the coming years, the message remains clear: When youth rise to speak, the world must listen.
