The festive fervour of Durga Puja began early this year as Techno India University’s Cultural Club, Team Sanskaran, brought magic to the stage at the ONYŌ Puja Opening held at Offbeat CCU on 26th September. The evening was a true celebration of art, culture, and youthful energy — a testament to the creative excellence and spirit that define the students of Techno India University.
The event commenced with a soulful classical dance performance by Nrityaksha, setting a serene and auspicious tone. Dressed in traditional attire, the performers gracefully depicted the divine power of Goddess Durga through intricate movements and expressive gestures. The audience was spellbound by the blend of elegance and devotion that marked the beginning of the evening.
As the night progressed, the tempo shifted to a high-energy western and semi-classical fusion performance, where the students showcased their versatility. The seamless mix of Gujarati folk rhythms and Durga Puja-themed songs created a unique medley that resonated with both tradition and modernity. The lively choreography, synchronized steps, and infectious enthusiasm of the performers brought smiles, applause, and cheers from the crowd — capturing the essence of the festive season.
Adding another dimension of creativity to the celebration, the Art Club of Techno India University, Team Chitraka, infused colour and imagination into the occasion. Guided by Sujatha Chatterjee Ma’am, the team crafted an adorable Naruda Mascot, which instantly became a crowd favourite. The mascot, with its playful design and festive charm, stood as a symbol of joy, teamwork, and artistic brilliance.
The collaboration between Team Sanskaran and Team Chitraka truly reflected the spirit of Techno India University — where talent meets opportunity and creativity flourishes in every form.
