The Department of Electrical Engineering at Dumka Engineering College, a proud part of the Techno India Group, was filled with joy and excitement on 7th July 2025, as it proudly uncovered the much-awaited edition of its annual departmental magazine, “ELEKTRIC WEB – 2025.” The event was not just about launching a magazine but also a celebration of young minds, hard work – smart work, teamwork, team management and the vibrant spirit of the whole department.
The enlightened ceremony was held within the department premises and witnessed the presence of esteemed faculty, enthusiastic students & honoured guests. The event was embellished by Dr. Ganesh Shankar, Principal of Dumka Engineering College, and Dr. Ratan Kumar Bose, Vice Principal, whose inspiring words set the perfect tone for the occasion. Both dignitaries shared their thoughts on how platforms like ‘ELEKTRIC WEB’ offer students a golden opportunity to express their creativity; share their knowledge and grow academically as well as personally.
In his address, Dr. Shankar highlighted the importance of nurturing innovation within students. At the heart of the event was Prof. Pankaj Sarkar, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, who spoke with warmth and admiration for his students and fellow faculty. “This magazine reflects not just the academic talent, but also the creativity, determination & unity of our department,” he said. He praised the entire team behind ‘ELEKTRIC WEB’ for their dedication and the way they turned ideas into reality. According to him, such platforms are vital for creating an environment where students are encouraged to think beyond textbooks and classrooms.
The smooth and successful coordination of the entire initiative was led by Prof. Raju Goswami, Faculty Coordinator, who played a crucial role in guiding and mentoring the student editorial team. His constant encouragement ensured that the magazine maintained both quality content and relevance to current academic and technological trends. Prof. Goswami, though often working behind the scenes, was appreciated by all for being the guiding light of the project.
Adding a student perspective to the ceremony was Mr. Sudhanshu Kumar Jha, a final-year student and Senior Advisor to the editorial team, who shared a touching and insightful account of the journey of creating ‘ELEKTRIC WEB – 2025’. From brainstorming sessions to late-night edits, from writing and collecting articles to designing the layout—every step was filled with learning and passion. “It was not always easy, but it was always worth it,” he said with a smile. He also praised the contributions of students from all academic years, who brought in diverse perspectives and fresh energy to the magazine.
Mr. Suraj Prasad, a third-year student and the Editorial Head, also addressed the gathering. He expressed his gratitude with heartfelt words to all the faculty members and student contributors who made this magazine possible. He shared his thought on how ‘ELEKTRIC WEB’ has become more than just a project & also it has become a platform where students can share their thoughts, technical knowledge, creativity, poems, artwork and project experiences. “This magazine represents us—all of us—and everything we dream, think, and create,” he proudly stated.

Students from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years enthusiastically contributed to the magazine, making it a truly inclusive and collaborative effort.
