On December 21, 2024, the Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT) organized the Ideation Fiesta at its campus—a competition designed to showcase innovative ideas and encourage entrepreneurial spirit among students. Two teams from Ramgarh Engineering College (REC), established by the Government of Jharkhand and run by Techno India Group, made it to the grand finale after excelling in two preliminary rounds.
The first round of the competition was conducted at Ramgarh Engineering College, followed by the second round at BIT Sindri. Under the guidance of REC faculty members, the students showcased their innovative skills and entrepreneurial mindset, securing the B-category prize in the final round with a seed fund of ₹30,000 for each team. Team Braille Go, consisting of Md. Faizul Islam, Adity, Nayan Kumar Mandal, Sakshi Kumari, and Rohit Kumar Saw, impressed the judges with their creative idea. Alongside them, Team All Axis, comprising Md. Faizul Islam, Adity, Isha Mishra, Jigisha Diksha and Mukesh Kumar Bauri, also made it to the finals with their exceptional presentation. Both teams demonstrated outstanding dedication and innovation, earning accolades and the well-deserved seed money to support their ideas.
Dr. Sharbani Roy, Principal of REC, emphasized the importance of such competitions, saying, “It is very beneficial for students to pitch their innovative ideas and take steps toward becoming entrepreneurs.”
Mr. Arunabha Dutta, IIC Coordinator of REC, remarked, “Innovative ideas are like seeds. We strive to make students aware of the potential of planting these seeds to grow successful ventures.”
Dr. Nazmul Islam, Vice Principal of REC, added, “we always try to motivate our students for startup using unique ideas.”
The achievement of Team Braille Go and Team All Axis not only highlights the students’ hard work and innovation but also reflects the vision of Ramgarh Engineering College, part of Techno India Group, to equip students with the necessary tools to succeed in the competitive world of entrepreneurship. These young inventors have found that the competition is a stepping stone, giving them the tools and recognition they need to further their concepts.
