Techno India Group Public School (TIGPS), Garia, proudly represented West Bengal at the prestigious Second National Summit on Skill Education – School to Work Transition held at KIIT Convention Centre, Bhubaneswar, on November 21, 2024. The event brought together school leaders and students from across the country, fostering discussions on skill education and showcasing innovative student projects through an exclusive exhibition.
Only 20 schools nationwide were selected to participate in the skill education exhibition, and TIGPS Garia had the privilege of being one of them. Students Sreeja Sarkar and Sreejita Das from Class IX, guided by their mentor teacher Ashima Debnath, presented the project titled ‘With Love from Earth’ under the theme of Beauty, Health, and Wellness. The project captivated the audience, earning widespread praise for its innovation and relevance.
The exhibition received an overwhelming response from dignitaries, including CBSE Chairperson Shri Rahul Singh and CBSE Director for Skill Education Shri Biswajit Saha. Both lauded the efforts of TIGPS Garia’s students and congratulated them on their creative approach and impactful presentation. The project also garnered exceptional feedback from school leaders, students, and visitors from across the country, establishing TIGPS Garia as a forerunner in skill-based education.
The main conference, held in parallel, hosted a distinguished gathering of principals and educators from various schools who deliberated on the importance of integrating skill education into mainstream learning to prepare students for real-world challenges.
