AI, Innovation and Global Dialogue Define TIU’s Academic Engagement in Kathmandu

True learning begins when ideas flow freely and curiosity leads the conversation, turning classrooms into gateways for innovation and global thinking. That energy was evident at Subhashree College of Management, Kathmandu, during the recent visit of Team Techno India University (TIU) where ideas on digital transformation, future careers, and cross-border education took center stage.

Representing TIU were Principal Adviser Prof. Ujjwal K. Chowdhury and Director – Outreach Debdeep Banerjee. They were warmly received by Principal Manita Basnet in a traditional welcome that beautifully reflected Nepal’s culture of respect and hospitality. The gesture set the tone for a meaningful engagement built on collaboration, shared aspirations, and academic synergy.

The centerpiece of the visit was Prof. Chowdhury’s dynamic session with nearly 200 BBA learners on “Emergence of Digital Co-workers and New Age Learning.” Rather than presenting technology as a distant force, he framed it as a present-day collaborator—reshaping industries, redefining job roles, and demanding new skillsets. He urged students to see artificial intelligence not as a threat, but as a digital co-worker that amplifies human intelligence, creativity, and decision-making.

The session was interactive, reflective, and forward-looking. Students raised questions about automation, ethical AI, future careers, and the competencies required to stay relevant in an ever-evolving marketplace. Prof. Chowdhury emphasized adaptability, critical thinking, and lifelong learning as the true currencies of the digital era. The message was clear: success in tomorrow’s world will belong to those who can combine technological fluency with human empathy and ethical responsibility.

Debdeep Banerjee further underscored the importance of cross-border academic engagement in shaping globally aware professionals. He highlighted how partnerships between institutions help create opportunities, broaden perspectives, and prepare students to thrive beyond local boundaries.

The interaction concluded with a shared sense of inspiration and possibility. More than a formal visit, it became a platform for ideas to flow freely across borders—reminding everyone present that education today is not confined by geography.

Through such international engagements, Techno India University continues to build meaningful academic bridges—empowering young learners to confidently step into a future where digital co-workers and human potential grow side by side.
