Raksha Bandhan at TIGPS-Ariadaha: A Heartfelt Celebration with Our Protectors in Uniform

Raksha Bandhan is more than just a festival of colourful threads and sweets — it’s a celebration of trust, love, and protection. This year, the students of Techno India Group Public School-Ariadaha made the day truly special by stepping out of their classrooms and into the world of those who work tirelessly to keep our community safe — the police force.

On this auspicious occasion, two groups of our students, accompanied by teachers and staff, visited the Barrackpore Commissionerate and Belgharia Police Station. Their mission was simple yet deeply meaningful: to express heartfelt gratitude to the police personnel for their dedication, courage, and unwavering service to society.

The first group of students, along with a teacher and a staff member, headed to Barrackpore Commissionerate. The moment they arrived, they were met with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the senior officials. The highlight of the visit came when the students tied rakhis to the wrist of Shri Murli Dhar, the Honourable Police Commissioner of Barrackpore. He graciously blessed each student, appreciating their gesture of love and respect.

The celebration continued as students tied rakhis to Mr. Hiranmoy Hore, Assistant Police Commissioner, along with other officers present. The Commissionerate staff spoke fondly about the students’ thoughtfulness, underlining how community cooperation plays a vital role in maintaining peace and harmony. For the children, it was a moment to see the protectors of our society not just as officers in uniform, but as brothers and guardians.

Meanwhile, another group of students, guided by two teachers, began their celebration at Belgharia Police Station. The officers welcomed them with warmth and kindness. The students tied colourful rakhis to the wrist of Subhrajit Majumder, Officer-in-Charge of Belgharia Police Station. Adding a personal touch to the moment, one enthusiastic student presented him with a beautiful handmade painting — a token of love, admiration, and respect.

The celebration wasn’t just about rakhis; it was about the feelings behind them. The students offered sweets and warm wishes, and the officers, in return, expressed their gratitude and reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to serving the community. The sight of children tying rakhis to the brave men who protect them was both touching and symbolic — a bond of mutual care and responsibility.

The event was a beautiful blend of tradition and community spirit. The smiles on the officers’ faces, the laughter of the children, and the sense of mutual respect filled the air with warmth. It was clear to all present that this celebration had touched hearts on both sides.

In the end, this Raksha Bandhan was more than a ritual of tying threads. It was a celebration of unity, trust, and gratitude. By reaching out to the police force, our students not only honoured our cultural traditions but also built a bridge of mutual respect between the community and law enforcement.
