On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the students of Techno India Group Public School, Nabagram embarked on a heartfelt journey that went far beyond the walls of their classrooms. In a gesture steeped in tradition, patriotism, and love, they visited the Alambazar BSF Camp to tie rakhis to the brave jawans of the Border Security Force — the valiant protectors of our nation’s frontiers.
The atmosphere at the camp was charged with emotions — pride, gratitude, and a profound sense of unity. As the young students approached the soldiers with delicate, handcrafted rakhis, their innocent smiles lit up the hearts of these steadfast warriors. For the children, it wasn’t just about tying colourful threads; it was about weaving bonds of love, respect, and unwavering support for those who stand as our first line of defence.

The BSF jawans, accustomed to guarding borders under harsh conditions, far away from their families, were deeply moved by this display of affection. For many, these rakhis served as reminders of the sisters and families they could not be with on this special day. The simple touch of a child’s hand tying a rakhi around their wrist became a silent promise — “You protect us, and we are here to protect your place in our hearts.”
Principal and teachers of TIGPS Nabagram expressed immense pride in their students, emphasising that such moments instil values no textbook can teach — patriotism, gratitude, and empathy. This Raksha Bandhan celebration was not confined to the ritual itself; it became a living lesson in the strength of traditions and the emotional bridges they build between citizens and the armed forces.
As the day drew to a close, the camp echoed not with gunfire or commands, but with laughter, blessings, and heartfelt goodbyes. The rakhis, now tied securely on the wrists of our jawans, will travel with them to the remotest corners of our borders — carrying with them the warmth and prayers of the children who see them as real-life superheroes.

On this Raksha Bandhan, TIGPS Nabagram reminded us all that sometimes, the smallest gestures carry the greatest weight, and that the threads of love are stronger than any barrier. Today, we salute the courage of our soldiers and celebrate the bond that ties every Indian heart to theirs.
Jai Hind!
