The Dronacharya Awards 2024, an event organised by Techno India Group for the first time to celebrate and honour 500 outstanding educators across West Bengal, was an amazing tribute to the real architects of the future. The program began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the light of knowledge and prosperity. This event, which took place over two important days at the Techno India University’s seminar hall, showcased the vital contributions that teachers make to the field of education.
The event commenced on November 14th, a day already steeped in meaning as it marked Children’s Day, symbolizing the celebration of the very hearts that teachers nurture. The second day, November 15th, fell on Guru Purnima, a day deeply rooted in paying homage to teachers and mentors who guide with wisdom and dedication. This beautiful coincidence highlighted the essence of the Dronacharya Awards, making it even more meaningful.
On the first day, notable guests included Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson of Techno India Group; Dr. Ramanuj Ganguly, President of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education; Abir Chatterjee, Bengali actor; and Mr. Chinmoy Sarkar, Joint Director of School Education. n the second day were Dr. Chiranjib Bhattacharya, President of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, and Mr. Meghdut Roychowdhury, Chief Innovation Officer at Techno India Group.
On the first day, awards were presented to the Best Principal/Head Teacher, while on the second day, awards were given to the Best Subject Teacher and Best Chief Coordinator. The Dronacharya Samman is an annual tribute to these unsung heroes who shape the academic journey of countless students and lay the groundwork for future success.
