St. John’s KG School, Amtala, supported by Techno India Group, came alive with vibrant hues of yellow as the school celebrated Yellow Day with students from PP1, PP2, and KG. The special event aimed at introducing children to the significance of colours, especially yellow, in a fun and interactive way.
Children arrived at school dressed in their finest yellow outfits, embodying the cheerful and bright spirit of the day. From sunflowers to lemons, each child carried their favourite yellow-coloured item, reflecting their individual creativity and excitement. The day wasn’t just about wearing yellow; it was a full-fledged exploration of the colour through activities, learning, and interaction.
As part of the festivities, the students participated in a variety of activities centred around the colour yellow. From identifying yellow objects in their surroundings to crafting yellow-themed artwork, each activity encouraged the children to engage their imagination and enhance their understanding of the colour. They learnt to associate yellow with positivity, energy, and warmth, which was evident in their bright smiles throughout the day.
In keeping with the theme, recess time featured an array of yellow-coloured food. The children enjoyed a healthy and delicious spread that included items such as bananas, yellow rice, and corn. The day concluded with the students sipping on refreshing mango juice, adding a sweet end to a delightful celebration.
What made the event even more special was the involvement of parents. The enthusiastic participation of families in the preparations added to the success of Yellow Day. Parents took the opportunity to engage with the learning process, contributing to the activities and preparing yellow-themed meals for their children. Their involvement not only encouraged a greater sense of community but also fostered a stronger connection between the school and families. The excitement of the children spoke volumes about the impact of the event. Their enthusiasm was visible in every activity, from their eager participation to their smiles as they left the school, proudly carrying their yellow crafts and memories.
Yellow Day was not just a celebration of a colour but a step toward nurturing curiosity, creativity, and the joy of learning in the young minds of St. John’s KG School. The event highlighted the school’s commitment to interactive and experiential learning, making education a joyful journey for both students and their families.
