Techno India University in West Bengal launched up its ground-breaking Orientation Program 2024 today for the first group of students enrolled in the School of the Future. Under the direction of the brilliant Meghdut RoyChowdhury, this innovative initiative aims to transform education by emphasising entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence (AI).
Meghdut RoyChowdhury, Executive Director and Chief Innovation Officer, gave a motivational speech that focused on the qualities that students need to cultivate in order to become leaders in the future. He presented the idea of the “I want to talk about the 3+1 main stream, that one additional thing that a person should speak about—we should help you lead into the future. The first thing is cultural intelligence; the second thing is hustle; the third is entrepreneur mindset; and the fourth is articulation.” highlighting the significance of these traits in negotiating the intricacies of a world that is changing quickly.


A distinguished panel of speakers, including Skannd Tayagi, a tech-driven innovator known for tackling global challenges with creative solutions, Samiran Chottopadhaya, Vice Chancellor, Sujoy Biswas, Director & CEO, Rina Paladhi, Director Academic, and Ishaan Ghosh, Student Coordinator, addressed the event. Industry insiders like Mohit Patiyala, Customer Engineer at Google Cloud, Ketan Parekh, Regional Lead – Education, and Shefaly Dutta and Rinki Gupta from IBM also contributed their perspectives.
The Orientation Program 2024 was further enriched by Techno India University’s collaborations with global giants like Google and IBM, as well as leading design institutions like Ecole Intuit Lab, ESEDS School of Design, and E1133 (London). These partnerships are designed to offer students an unparalleled education experience, combining academic rigour with real-world applications.


The 650 students at the School of the Future are dedicated to becoming prepared for a world where artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship rule. In addition to imparting knowledge, the program aims to develop critical thinking, creativity, and practical problem-solving abilities so that graduates are prepared to lead and innovate.
The School of the Future’s Orientation Program has set an excellent foundation for what looks to be a life-changing educational experience as the first batch of students begin their academic journey.
