Techno India University‘s Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is a thriving centre for academic excellence, research, and innovation. The department is in the front of the digital revolution, dedicated to developing the next generation of technology leaders and providing students with the knowledge and abilities needed to succeed in a quickly changing technological environment.
The Department provides a dynamic, adaptable curriculum that is intended to keep up with the industry’s quick innovations. Students are exposed to cutting-edge topics including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Web Technology, and Cloud Computing in addition to fundamental subjects. Specialized courses on data mining, data warehousing, and natural language processing (NLP) and its applications are also included in the curriculum. With this all-encompassing approach, students are guaranteed to have the most up-to-date information and abilities necessary to succeed in the ever changing tech sector.
The CSE department has a strong track record of organizing impactful events that enhance student learning and industry engagement. In 2023, it hosted the International Conference on Security, Surveillance, and Artificial Intelligence, which attracted significant attention and participation from both academia and industry. Additionally, various Hackathons, Industry Talks, Coding Competitions, and Webinars have been organized, providing students with invaluable opportunities to apply their knowledge, engage with experts, and stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the field.
With degrees from prestigious universities such as Rutgers University, University of Sussex, IIT Kharagpur, Indian Statistical Institute, Jadavpur University, National Institute of Technology, and MAKAUT, the faculty members in our department are accomplished experts. Possessing a plethora of industrial and academic skills, they have worked at top tech organizations like TCS, CTS, PWC, and Infosys. Several of our instructors are well-known experts in their domains and members of prestigious associations such as CSI, ISTE, IEEE, ACM, and the Institution of Engineers (IEI). In order to further demonstrate our dedication to advancing technology through innovation and industry relationships, our department is also involved in a number of research projects, including cooperation with DRDO.
To improve student involvement and professional growth, we are in the process of forming an IEI student chapter to complement our current CSI student chapter. Students can also choose from a variety of internships that provide practical experience in a variety of fields. Internships are available at ZScaler Networking Security, AWS Data Engineering, Google Cloud, AWS Cloud, Fortinet and Network Security. Additionally, students can investigate cutting-edge topics like Altair Data Science, Palo Alto Cyber Security, Generative AI, and Altair Data Analytics, which will equip them with industry insights and useful abilities for their future employment.
Our students have shown exceptional dedication by completing various NPTEL certifications across multiple domains, including Reinforcement Learning, Python, Graph Algorithms, Machine Learning, Computational Arithmetic, Competitive Programming, Responsible and Safe AI Systems, Operating Systems, Industrial Internet of Things, and Artificial Intelligence. To further enhance coding skills and foster collaboration, we are establishing a dedicated Coding Club. This new initiative will provide students with a platform to engage in coding activities, participate in hackathons, and build their knowledge through collaborative projects and workshops, enriching their practical experience and technical expertise.
