Techno India University, West Bengal continues to reinforce its commitment to socially responsible and future-oriented education through a series of meaningful academic and institutional interactions across Durgapur, Asansol and Burdwan. The outreach initiative, led by Prof. Ujjwal Kumar Chowdhury, Director, Techno India Group and Principal Adviser, Techno India University along with Debdeep Banerjee, Director – CS & OR, Techno India University and Kuntal Datta, Outreach and Admissions, focused on bridging school education with emerging technological ethics, policy engagement and collaborative academic growth.
Engaging with School Leadership: Beachwood School, Durgapur
The outreach began with an interaction with the authorities of Beachwood School, Durgapur, where discussions revolved around aligning school-level education with the rapidly evolving demands of higher education and technology-driven careers. The dialogue highlighted the importance of nurturing analytical thinking, ethical awareness and interdisciplinary learning at an early stage—principles that Techno India University actively integrates into its academic ecosystem.
The interaction underscored a shared vision of preparing students not just for examinations, but for responsible participation in a technology-led society.
Inspiring Young Minds: Session with Class XI Students on Ethical AI
A key highlight of the outreach was an interactive session with Class XI students of Beachwood School, centered on the theme “Need for Ethical AI in Every Career and Domain of Learning.” The session moved beyond technical definitions to humanize artificial intelligence—emphasizing accountability, fairness, transparency and societal impact.
Through relatable examples and real-world scenarios, students were encouraged to view AI not merely as a tool for engineers or data scientists, but as a transformative force influencing healthcare, media, governance, education and everyday decision-making. The session sparked curiosity and thoughtful questions, reflecting a growing awareness among students about the ethical responsibilities that accompany technological advancement.





Institutional Dialogue: Meeting with Chairman, ADDA
As part of the broader engagement, the delegation met with the Shri Kabi Dutta, Chairman of the Asansol Durgapur Development Authority (ADDA). The meeting focused on exploring possibilities of academic–institutional collaboration, knowledge exchange and regional development through education and innovation.
Such interactions reaffirm Techno India University’s role not only as an academic institution but also as an active stakeholder in regional progress—where education, infrastructure and policy converge to shape sustainable futures.
Strengthening School–University Connect: East West Model School, Burdwan
The outreach concluded with a meeting with the authorities of East West Model School, Bardhaman, where discussions emphasized collaborative pathways for student mentoring, career guidance and exposure to contemporary academic disciplines. The interaction reflected a shared commitment to creating smoother transitions from school education to higher studies, especially in emerging fields driven by technology and innovation.
