The recital featured acclaimed flautist Pandit Nityanand Haldipur<\/a><\/strong>, accompanied by Sri Sangram Roy<\/strong> on tabla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme was attended by Prof. Manoshi Roychoudhury, Co- Chairperson of Techno India Group; Prof. (Dr.) Saikat Maitra, Vice Chancellor, Techno India University; Dr. Rina Paladhi, Director, Techno India University; Prof. Dr. Sujoy Biswas, Registrar and Director & CEO, Techno India Group; Dr. Gautam Majumdar, Pro Vice Chancellor, Techno India University<\/strong>, with distinguished artists Pdt. Nityanand Haldipur<\/strong>, renowned flautist, and Sri. Sangram Roy<\/strong>, tabla accompanist.  Reflecting on the impact of music on young minds, the programme highlighted how music can help students move beyond academic pursuits and discover new dimensions of creativity, peace and personal growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the transformative power of music, Prof. Manoshi Roychoudhury<\/strong> said, \u201cThis is not only hearing a flute. This is changing your mind towards something which is positive, towards something which can bring peace in the world\u201d<\/em>… <\/strong>\u201c<\/em><\/strong>Music and beautiful tunes<\/em> <\/em><\/strong>can help students experience a world beyond their academic disciplines\u201d… <\/em>She also shared an inspiring story about Hooghly students, where a hyperactive student was introduced to the flute by his teacher. After performing for Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia<\/strong> ji<\/strong>, the student underwent a remarkable transformation, becoming more focused on his studies and eventually excelling academically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pandit Nithyananda Haldipur<\/strong>, one of India\u2019s leading classical flautists, is a senior disciple of the revered Padma Bhushan Smt. Annapurna Devi<\/strong>. He began his musical journey under his father, Shri Niranjan Haldipur, and received early training from Pandit Pannalal Ghosh. He later trained under Pandit Chidananda Nagarkar and Pandit Devendra Murdeshwar before becoming a disciple of Smt. Annapurna Devi in 1986. Known for his purity of tone, emotional depth and meditative style, he has performed extensively across India and internationally and has received several prestigious honours, including the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award<\/strong> and Tansen Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sri Sangram Roy<\/strong>, the tabla accompanist, trained under the late Pandit Vishwanath Mukherjee<\/strong> of the Lucknow Gharana and Pandit Swamo Saha<\/strong>, and is presently receiving guidance from renowned tabla maestro Pandit Abhijit Banerjee<\/strong>. Associated with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India<\/strong>, SPIC MACAY, Sangeet Natak Akademi and the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, he has accompanied several eminent artistes of Indian classical music. His accolades include the Anupama Samman<\/strong>, Tal Shree Samman<\/strong> and Dishadi Award<\/strong>, recognising his contribution to Indian classical music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
