Promoting awareness beyond the classroom, Dumka Engineering College (DEC)<\/strong><\/a>, a constituent institution of Techno India Group, observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse<\/strong> on 26 June 2026<\/strong> with a series of engaging awareness programmes that encouraged students to take a stand against substance abuse and become advocates for a healthier society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the programme was a powerful Nukkad Natak (Street Play)<\/strong> performed by the first-year B.Tech students of the 2025\u201329 batch<\/strong>, which left a lasting impression on the audience through its emotional storytelling and impactful social message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organised with the objective of educating students about the dangers of drug addiction, the event brought together students, faculty members, and staff to discuss the physical, psychological, social, and economic consequences of substance abuse. Through informative sessions, motivational speeches, and cultural performances, participants gained a deeper understanding of how addiction affects individuals, families, and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
