For the students of the<\/strong> Department of Mechanical Engineering at Dumka Engineering College<\/a><\/strong>, a part of the<\/strong> Techno India Group<\/strong><\/a>, the industrial visit to <\/a><\/strong>BIRLANU LTD<\/strong><\/a> on 8th May 2026 became exactly that – an experience where engineering moved beyond diagrams and formulas into the rhythm of real industrial operations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accompanied by faculty members Ms Sruti Sen Sarma, Mr. Anirban Mitra, and Mr. Pritam Roy Chowdhury, twenty-five B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students travelled to the Jasidih plant to witness firsthand how large-scale manufacturing systems function in a professional industrial environment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the moment they entered the facility, students were introduced to the scale, discipline, and coordination that define modern industry. Units handling cement, paper pulp, fly ash, Recron fibre, and dry waste operated with remarkable precision, demonstrating how multiple processes work together seamlessly to transform raw materials into finished products. Concepts that students had previously studied in textbooks – manufacturing systems, material handling, production flow, and quality control – suddenly became tangible and understandable in a far deeper way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safety measures were strictly observed at every stage, engineers supervised operations with calm efficiency, and pollution-control practices reflected the company\u2019s commitment to sustainable industrial growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
