With these inspiring words, Prof. Debabrata Raha, Principal In-charge, set the tone for the Annual Sports Day 2026\u2014SPARDHA 2026<\/strong>\u2014at Chaibasa Engineering College, a proud part of the Techno India Group. The event emerged as a vibrant celebration of athleticism, unity, and progressive change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s Sports Day witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 501 students<\/strong>, making it one of the most engaging editions to date. A total of 13 games<\/strong> were organized, comprising 9 outdoor<\/strong> and 4 indoor events<\/strong>, thoughtfully divided into 7 group<\/strong> and 6 individual competitions<\/strong>. This structure ensured equal opportunities for teamwork as well as individual excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most remarkable highlights of SPARDHA 2026 was the introduction of\u00a0three new sports\u2014Short Pitch Cricket, Volleyball, and Kabaddi<\/strong>. Among these, Short Pitch Cricket stood out not just as a game but as a progressive initiative. Each team was mandated to include at least one female player, a move that significantly boosted female participation and reinforced the spirit of\u00a0gender inclusivity<\/strong>. Since the college\u2019s establishment in 2013, the absence of a proper sports ground had been a long-standing concern. The creation of this facility marks a historic milestone, finally providing students with a dedicated space for physical activities and athletic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health and safety remained a top priority throughout the event. A pre-event medical fitness test<\/strong> ensured that only medically fit students participated. Additionally, a medical team was present on campus<\/strong> during the two days of outdoor games, ensuring prompt assistance in case of any emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation was organized department-wise, with students from BSH, CE, CSE, ECE, EE, and ME<\/strong> departments actively competing.
