In a powerful celebration of ideas, dialogue, and the enduring spirit of women, the\u00a0Centre for Gender and Women Studies at Techno India University<\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0organized its\u00a01st National Conference titled \u201cIntersecting Identities: Rethinking Gender Status in Contemporary Society\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a06\u20137 March 2026<\/strong>, marking the occasion of\u00a0International Women\u2019s Day 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two-day conference emerged as a vibrant academic platform where scholars, researchers, and students from across the country came together to examine gender through multiple perspectives. With\u00a0over 150 abstracts received from institutions across India<\/strong>, the conference reflected an overwhelming academic response. After a rigorous\u00a0double-blind peer review process<\/strong>,\u00a078 papers were selected<\/strong>\u00a0for presentation, representing universities from\u00a0Delhi, Lucknow, Aligarh, Chennai, Uttarakhand, Assam<\/strong>, and several institutions across\u00a0West Bengal<\/strong>, including central, private, and deemed universities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural session was also graced by distinguished dignitaries of Techno India University including\u00a0Prof. Manoshi Roy Chowdhury<\/a>, Co-Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Samiran Chattopadhyay<\/a>, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Rina Paladhi<\/a>, Director\u2013Academics; Prof. (Dr.) Sujoy Biswas<\/a>, Registrar; Mr. Atanu Raha<\/a>, IFS (Retd.), Emeritus Professor; and Ms. Rupa Majumdar<\/a>, Advisor<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
