On February 27, 2026<\/strong>, In a world where a thumb rarely rests and silence is quickly filled by a glowing screen, Monoshij<\/a><\/strong> brought a timely and insightful conversation to the Literature students of\u00a0St. Xavier\u2019s University<\/strong>, New Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monoshij, the mental health initiative founded by Prof. Manoshi RoyChowdhury<\/a>, Co-Chairperson of Techno India Group<\/a><\/strong>, conducted an insightful seminar titled\u00a0\u201cScrolling. Numbing. Avoiding \u2014 What Are We Running From?\u201d<\/strong><\/em>What began as a discussion soon evolved into something deeper: an honest, collective reflection on the invisible emotional patterns that shape our digital lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session did not begin with statistics or warnings. Instead, it began with a simple, disarming question:\u00a0When you scroll endlessly, what are you trying not to feel?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many students, the question lingered. Together, they explored how social media \u2014 often seen as connection \u2014 can quietly become avoidance. The conversation unpacked dissociation, emotional numbing, and the subtle habit of postponing discomfort through distraction.
