Dumka Engineering College<\/a><\/strong>, part of the\u00a0Techno India Group<\/a><\/strong>, successfully hosted the grand\u00a0DECTHON\u20132026 Hackathon<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0January 7 and 8, 2026<\/strong>, in collaboration with\u00a0Lawazia Tech<\/a><\/strong>. The two-day innovation-driven event highlighted the institution\u2019s strong commitment to fostering technology, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving skills among budding engineers in Jharkhand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hackathon was graced by\u00a0Shri Abhijeet Sinha<\/a>, Deputy Commissioner of Dumka<\/strong>, as the\u00a0Chief Guest<\/strong>, whose presence added significant prestige to the occasion. The event was further honored by the participation of\u00a0Dr. Bibhash Sen<\/a>, Associate Professor, NIT Durgapur<\/strong>, and\u00a0Mr. Sandeep Jaiswal<\/a>, Director and CEO, Lawazia Tech<\/strong>, as distinguished guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Shri Abhijeet Sinha shared his vision of seeing students from Jharkhand evolve into future\u00a0unicorn entrepreneurs<\/strong>. Emphasizing innovation and startup culture, he stated that platforms like DECTHON provide students with a unique identity by nurturing their creative and technical potential. Stressing inclusivity, he inspired young innovators to develop affordable technologies, particularly solutions aimed at assisting visually impaired individuals<\/strong>, ensuring that technological progress benefits every section of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
