Techno India Group Public School<\/a>, Garia<\/strong> observed the International Day of Persons with Disabilities<\/em> through a special assembly that sensitively highlighted the values of empathy, inclusion, and collective responsibility, creating a meaningful learning experience for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The morning began with the calming prayer \u201cAsatoma Sadgamaya\u201d<\/em>, setting a thoughtful tone for the assembly. This was followed by a pledge in which students reaffirmed their commitment to treat their peers and everyone around them with respect, kindness, empathy, and fairness\u2014principles essential to building inclusive classrooms and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In line with the global theme, \u201cFostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,\u201d<\/strong> a well-articulated speech addressed the importance of equal opportunities, understanding diverse needs, and breaking social barriers. To deepen engagement, a short skit was performed alongside the speech, allowing students to visually relate the ideas being discussed to familiar classroom scenarios. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students of Class 7B<\/strong> presented an impactful skit portraying an inclusive classroom atmosphere. Through simple, relatable situations, they demonstrated how everyday acts\u2014listening patiently, offering help, and showing understanding\u2014can positively influence the lives of children with special needs. The presentation effectively conveyed that inclusion is not about grand gestures, but about everyday choices rooted in compassion and cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding a real-world dimension to the assembly, students were also introduced to recent milestones and initiatives related to disability inclusion. These included efforts to make major cultural celebrations in West Bengal more accessible, a landmark court judgment supporting the educational aspirations of a differently abled student, initiatives promoting inclusive sports such as disability cricket, healthcare sensitivity training launched for medical professionals, and India\u2019s historic victory at the first-ever Blind Women\u2019s T20 World Cup. Together, these examples highlighted how inclusive practices are gradually shaping society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
