The School of Allied Health Science<\/a><\/strong> at Techno India University<\/a>, West Bengal<\/strong>, observed World Organ Donation Day<\/em> on 13th August 2025<\/strong> with a heartfelt initiative aimed at inspiring awareness and empathy among the next generation of healthcare professionals. Organized by the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology<\/strong> in collaboration with Rotary North Calcutta<\/strong>, the event stood as a reminder that one selfless act can give another person the gift of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program began with an inaugural session graced by Prof. (Dr.) Rina Paladhi<\/a><\/strong>, Director (Academics), whose words of encouragement set a thoughtful tone for the day. Prof. (Dr.) Beduin Mahanti<\/a><\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, and Prof. (Dr.) Shampa Mallick<\/a><\/strong>, Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the moral and medical importance of organ donation. Ms. Bhaswati Das<\/strong>, Principal of the College and School of Nursing, highlighted the vital role nurses play in creating awareness and compassion in healthcare. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured insightful talks by Dr. Kaushik Singha<\/a><\/strong>, Assistant Professor (Clinical Anatomist) at JNM Medical College & Hospital and RMO at AIIMS Kalyani, and Mr. Sarat Kr. Sarkar<\/strong>, former Chief Engineer, PWD (Electrical Division) and Medico-Legal Advisor to the Government of West Bengal. Their engaging sessions shed light on the ethical, scientific, and humanitarian aspects of organ donation, leaving the audience inspired and informed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
