On 4th November, 2025: Continuing its legacy of fostering experiential and holistic education, Techno India Group<\/a><\/strong>, Eastern India\u2019s largest education provider, hosted the sixth episode of its acclaimed human library talk series, Unwind – Boi Kotha Kow , at the Techno India campus with Mr Rajarshi Banerji<\/a><\/strong> , the internationally renowned wildlife photographer celebrated for his exceptional contributions to nature and wildlife photography. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A brainchild of Prof Manoshi Roychowdhury<\/a><\/strong>, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group , Unwind – Boi Kotha Kow<\/strong> <\/em>has become a dynamic platform where students interact directly with luminaries from diverse fields. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Roychowdhury, shared that although many encouraged her to start podcasts to reach wider audiences, she firmly believes that the true essence of the Human Library lies in personal, face-to-face engagement. She emphasized that digital content can inform, but it lacks the emotional depth and connection that real conversations create. As she beautifully stated, \u201cHuman Library is about one-to one interaction. The difference is that here, you get to hear, you get to ask, you get to connect.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcoming internationally acclaimed photographer Mr. Rajarshi Banerji<\/strong>, she highlighted how interacting directly with such personalities offers students a rare opportunity to learn from lived experiences, journeys, struggles, and success stories. She reflected on her own love for photography and how it has shaped her life, reinforcing the importance of holding on to what ignites one\u2019s spirit. <\/strong>She reminded the audience that, \u201cWhatever you do, whatever salary bracket you reach, never ever forget your passions.\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Prof. Roychowdhury encouraged students to explore their interests alongside academics and careers, as passion brings joy, purpose, and meaning to success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session offered an awe-inspiring glimpse into Mr Rajarshi Banerji\u2019s adventures across forests and wildernesses around the world. Through stunning visuals and captivating anecdotes, he shared the stories behind some of his most iconic photographs – from the dramatic Kaziranga Tiger on Rhino Kill to the globally acclaimed Black Panther Under the Stars, which earned him the Grand Prize of the 35th Memorial Maria Luisa Contest in Spain. His image was selected as the absolute winner among 18,684 photographs and 199 films submitted by 1,590 photographers from 95 countries, making him the first Indian and Asian photographer ever to win this prestigious honour.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Banerji also spoke about his recent achievements, including his Golden Turtle 2025 (Russia) Award<\/strong> in the Animal Behaviour category for his captivating image of juvenile gharials perched atop a bull gharial in the National Chambal Sanctuary, and his recognition as the Second Winner in the Flora and Fauna Category at the Black and White Photo Awards 2025<\/strong> for his striking portrait of Craig, the legendary tusker of Amboseli, Kenya. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event concluded with an engaging interactive questionnaire session, where students eagerly posed questions about conservation, patience in the wild and the ethics of wildlife photography. Moderated by Prof Manoshi Roychowdhury, the dialogue encouraged students to explore the intersections of art, science, and empathy for nature. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
