In a heartfelt initiative to promote holistic well-being and education, Techno India Group Public School<\/a>, Garia celebrated World Brain Day on July 22, 2025, with a special health awareness programme titled<\/strong> \u201cImpact of Brain Development on Behavioural Disorders.\u201d<\/em> The event brought together educators, medical professionals, and staff in a collaborative effort to better understand the crucial link between childhood brain development and behavioural health.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s theme, \u201cBrain Health for All Ages,\u201d<\/em> served as a strong reminder that neurological well-being is a lifelong journey that begins in early childhood. The programme began with an auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony led by our honourable Principal Madam, Tania Sen<\/a><\/strong>, joined by distinguished guests including Dr. Soumik Dhar<\/a><\/strong> (MBBS, DCH),<\/em> Associate Consultant Paediatrician at Peerless Hospital and B.K Roy Research Centre<\/em>; Ms. Suchismita Sharma <\/a><\/strong>, Deputy General Manager, Brand Promotions, Peerless Hospital<\/em> and Mr. Soumik Paul,<\/a><\/strong> Executive, Brand Promotions, Peerless Hospital<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Soumik Dhar<\/strong>, the keynote speaker, offered a compelling session that touched upon the delicate and vulnerable early years of life. He explained that the first 1000 days of a child’s life are pivotal, and any negligence during this period\u2014such as emotional neglect or exposure to toxic stress\u2014can have lasting consequences. His discussion opened up vital conversations about behavioural and neurological disorders in children such as speech delays, attention deficit disorders, sleep disturbances, and behavioural issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of particular interest was his insight into early signs of autism, emphasizing the importance of timely identification and support. Dr. Dhar also introduced the concept of \u201cvirtual autism\u201d or \u201cscreen-based autism,\u201d drawing attention to the growing impact of excessive screen time on children\u2019s emotional and social development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
