Chaibasa Engineering College<\/a>, Jharkhand, a part of Techno India Group<\/a>, organized its fifth annual technical fest,<\/strong> Navkriti 2k25<\/strong>, from<\/strong> April 11 to April 13, 2025<\/strong>, bringing together students from across the state to celebrate innovation and creativity. With the launch of the flagship event<\/strong> “Idea Rangmanch,”<\/strong><\/em> the fest provided a platform for young minds to pitch their startup ideas and showcase their talents. <\/em>The three-day event was filled with exciting competitions, inspiring speeches, and vibrant cultural performances.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was the fifth edition <\/strong>of the festival, and it was filled with creativity, innovation, and energetic participation from students. One of the biggest highlights of this year\u2019s event was the launch of a special program called “Idea Rangmanch.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a state-level idea-pitching competition where students presented their startup ideas for a chance to win seed funding. A total grant of \u20b91 lakh was available, and the event partnered with NRIIC<\/strong> to support young entrepreneurs. The festival was organized under the leadership of Principal Prof. D. Raha<\/a><\/strong>, along with Prof. Tanmay Das, Dr. Sagnik De, and Dr. Sandipan Dhar<\/strong>. School students were also invited to take part, making the event even more inclusive. The opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Tulshidas Ganvir<\/a><\/strong>, CSR Head of Tata Steel Noamundi<\/em>, who motivated the students with his inspiring speech, and several school principals attended as special guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the three days, 16 events were organized with more than 530 students participating<\/strong>. Sixty-five school students also joined in four special events designed just for them<\/strong>. Apart from the winners of Idea Rangmanch, there were 38 winners <\/strong>from different competitions across the festival. The final round of Idea Rangmanch was held on the night of April 13, and results were announced around 8:30 PM. Participants had to present their ideas in front of a panel of respected judges, including Mr. Debraj Kundu<\/a> <\/strong>(Head of TCS Retail Business UK\/EU)<\/em>, Mr. Biswajit Dhar <\/a><\/strong>(Enterprise Architect at TCS)<\/em>, Mr. Sagar Chanana<\/strong> (Co-founder of RASSAA)<\/em>, and Mr. Shrey Sao<\/a><\/strong> <\/strong>(author of Chanakya)<\/em>. Mr. Chandrasekharan Natarajan<\/a> <\/strong>(Chandru) from TCS CSR<\/em> also delivered an important keynote speech about startups and skill-building, inspiring the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winners of Idea Rangmanch were Shivam Kumar from Dumka Engineering College<\/strong>, who won the first prize for his idea “Nanni,” an innovation focused on children. The second prize went to Syed Adnan Ahmad<\/strong>, Darshi, Vivek<\/strong> and Vishwesh from BIT Sindri for their project “Wowhelm<\/strong>,” while the third prize was awarded to Mohit Kumar Mahato from Chaibasa Engineering College for his idea “Library and Office Space.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arif Akhter for his project on a hydraulic motorized car jack<\/strong>. Additionally, prizes were given to<\/strong> department toppers in model presentations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Tulshidas Ganvir, CSR Head of Tata Steel Noamundi, who motivated the students with his inspiring speech, and several school principals attended as special guests. Over the three days, 16 events were organized with more than 530 students participating. Sixty-five school students also joined in four special events designed just for them. Apart from the winners of Idea Rangmanch, there were 38 winners from different competitions across the festival. The final round of Idea Rangmanch was held on the night of April 13, and results were announced around 8:30 PM. Participants had to present their ideas in front of a panel of respected judges, including Mr. Debraj Kundu (Head of TCS Retail Business UK\/EU), Mr. Biswajit Dhar (Enterprise Architect at TCS), Mr. Sagar Chanana (Co-founder of RASSAA), and Mr. Shrey Sao (author of Chanakya). Mr. Chandrasekharan Natarajan (Chandru) from TCS CSR also delivered an important keynote speech about startups and skill-building, inspiring the students. The winners of Idea Rangmanch were Shivam Kumar from Dumka Engineering College, who won the first prize for his idea “Nanni,” an innovation focused on children. The second prize went to Syed Adnan Ahmad, Darshi, Vivek and Vishwesh from BIT Sindri for their project “Wowhelm,” while the third prize was awarded to Mohit Kumar Mahato from Chaibasa Engineering College for his idea “Library and Office Space.” In the Model Presentation competition, the first prize went to Rohit Kumar for developing an AI-based visual assistance system for the visually impaired. The second prize was awarded to Baijanti Hembram for her IoT-based paralysis health tracker, and the third prize was given to Md. Arif Akhter for his project on a hydraulic motorized car jack. Additionally, prizes were given to department toppers in model presentations. In his speech, Principal Prof. D. Raha said he was proud that the college successfully organized \u2018Idea Rangmanch\u2019. He thanked the organizing team and all the students who participated in making the event a success. Dr. Bishnubrat Chatterjee, Director of Silli Polytechnic, was present as the Chief Guest during the award ceremony and praised the efforts of the students and faculty. Convenor Prof. Tanmay Das expressed his gratitude to the entire team, especially mentioning Co-Convenor Dr. Sagnik De, Prof. Amarnath, and the student core committee for their hard work. Navkriti 2025 was a huge success and proved that when students, teachers, and industry experts come together, great things can happen.
